CHIANG MAI, Oct 16 (TNA) — Cold weather at tourist attractions in the northern provinces of Chiang Mai and Phitsanulok are attracting lots of tourists.
In Chiang Mai, tourists experienced a low morning temperature on the peak of Doi Inthanon mountain in Chom Thong district. The temperature on the highest ground of Thailand rose slightly from the level yesterday’s morning.
The lowest temperature measured 11 degrees Celsius at the Kiew Mae Pan viewpoint on Doi Inthanon this morning. Visitors did not see sunrise but indulged in thick mist instead.
In Phitsanulok, the weather was cooler on highland including that in the Phu Hin Rong Kla National Park which was welcoming more tourists. Visitors were impressed with beautiful sunset and the sea of mist in the morning at local viewpoints.
Local authorities advised visiting motorists to drive carefully to highland tourist attractions in morning thick mist. (TNA)
