BANGKOK, Sept 2 (TNA) –The Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters started the anti-terrorism Table Top Exercise (TTX) for Southeast Asian nations and their dialogue partners.
Col Chatrapee Poonsri, deputy spokesperson of the headquarters, said its Counter Terrorists Operations Center (CTOC) organized the TTX exercise at the Center for Strategic Studies in Chon Buri province on Sept 2-4.
Participants were from ten Southeast Asian nations and eight dialogue partners namely India, China, South Korea, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and Russia.
They were jointly trying comprehensive and systematic analyses and resolution of threats and studying one another’s relevant operations. That would result in their strong networking in the future, Col Chatrapee said.
CTOC, as the Experts Working Group on Counter Terrorism, would implement findings from the TTX in an exercise on responses to terror attacks in urban areas at Special Warfare School in Muang district of Lop Buri province on Sept 5, she said. (TNA)
