The Joint Standing Committee on Commerce, Industry and Banking (JSCCIB) predicted the gross domestic product will decline by 7-9% and exports will fall by 8-10% this year.
The Bank of Thailand’s Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) maintained the policy rate at 0.50% and revised its forecast on the gross domestic product decline from -8.1% to -7.8% this year.
Kasikorn Research Center (KResearch) predicts that the gross domestic product will shrink by 10% this year and the economy will then recover in a U-shaped manner.
