BANGKOK, April 23 (TNA) – Secretary-general of the Election Commission, Charungwit Phumma tested positive for Covid-19 after he underwent swab testing on Wednesday and the test result came out on Thursday evening.
It remains unclear how he caught the virus as he has not travelled anywhere since the Songkran holiday. He only stayed home and went to work at his office.
He had a sore throat on April 19, so he took a leave from work on April 20 and has not been in office since then.
Covid-19 testing will be conducted on EC officials who were in contact with him today. (TNA)
