BANGKOK, March 5 (TNA) – A doctor, who fainted after receiving the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine in Ratchaburi has recovered, said director-general of the Disease Control Department, Opas Karnkawinpong.
She has no history of allergy to medications, the director-general said. Her reaction to the vaccine would be raised at the meeting of the working committee, who monitors undesirable side effects of the vaccine. Experts will consider whether the symptom has anything to do with COVID-19 vaccine.
Regarding the 28-year-old doctor in Samut Sakhon, who reported diarrhea after receiving the vaccine, Tawee Chotpitayasunondh, a senior advisor to the Thai Health Ministry said that the meeting concluded that the undesirable symptom was not related to the vaccination. It could be infection associated with seafood consumption.
Thailand on Friday reported 79 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total infections to 26,241. The new cases comprise 65 local infections and 14 arrivals from abroad. (TNA)
