Bangkok, Dec 15 (TNA) – Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha and his cabinet ministers visited the Bang Sue Grand Station to inspect its construction and then boarded a Red Line train to Rangsit area in Pathum Thani province.
The Bang Sue Grand Station has three floors. The first floor is for ticket sales and connection with transport services. The second floor has eight platforms of long-distance trains and four Red Line train platforms. The third floor serves platforms of airport and high-speed trains.
The prime minister’s delegation then took a Red Line train from the Bang Sue Grand Station to the Rangsit station to inspect progress in the Red Line railway construction. The Red Lind will serve commuters from Pathum Thani province.
Gen Prayut said the Bang Sue Grand Station would be the country’s largest transport and railway hub and play important roles in national development, economic stimulation, trade and investment promotion, tourism and urban expansion. (TNA)
