PHUKET, Sept 27 (TNA) – The Tourism Authority of Thailand, Phuket Office and tour operators offer special tour packages for domestic tourists to join the Vegetarian Festival in October.
Napassorn Kakai, Director of TAT’s Phuket office said about the Phuket tourism outlook in late this year that Phuket remains a popular destination for Thai travellers, who were seen visiting the island province during the long holidays, announced by the government as well as on weekends and weekdays.
She thanked social media for sharing impression of Phuket’s old town areas, new tourism spots, local food and various activities.
As Phuket will hold the Vegetarian festival from Oct 17-25, the TAT, the Phuket Tourist Association, Chamber of Commerce and airlines cooperate to arrange tour packages at special prices for travellers from Bangkok to tour nine shrines during the festival.
Airlines has increased flights to Phuket form 10 flights per day to more than 30 daily flights in October from Suvarnabhumi Airport and Don Mueang Airport, she said.
The province may invite celebrities, actors and actresses to promote the event and encourage people to visit Phuket, she added. (TNA)
