BANGKOK, Aug 10 (TNA) — Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-o-cha are concerned about a COVID-19 infected official of the Thai embassy in Saudi Arabia and sends his moral support to all Thai officials working in other countries.
Deputy government spokeswoman Traisulee Traisoranakul conveyed the message and said Gen Prayut was worried about a Thai official at the embassy in Riyadh who contracted the coronavirus disease 2019.
He ordered the Foreign Ministry to take good care of the official who was already admitted at a hospital and was being treated closely by doctors, she said.
“The prime minister sent his moral support to all Thai officials and units in other countries. Please take good health care and be safe. The prime minister understands well that all are dedicated to their work and are helping Thai people in other countries. He praised all officials for their hard work. Thanks to them, over 60,000 Thai people have returned from abroad,” the deputy government spokeswoman said.
It was reported earlier that a Thai official and a foreign official at the embassy in Riyadh and a foreign official of the Thai embassy in Bahrain were infected with COVID-19. (TNA)
