BANGKOK, March 21 (TNA) – Thailand’s Phanaeng curry has been ranked No.1 on TasteAtlas’ list of 100 best-rated stews in the world.
According to TasteAtlas, Phanaeng curry is a variety of Thai curry that is characterized by its thick texture and a salty-sweet peanut flavor. It consists of meat that is stewed with dried chilis, kaffir lime leaves, coconut milk, cilantro, cumin, garlic, lemongrass, shallots, and peanuts.
Another Thai dish in the top ten of the best-rated stews is Massaman curry, voted No.8. Massaman stands out as the mildest, sweetest, and the most unusual type. It is a combination of creamy coconut milk, meat, potatoes, and a curry paste made with roasted spices, it said. (TNA)
