BANGKOK, March 30 (TNA) – The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration announced it will start to register candidates for the Bangkok governor and Bangkok councilors tomorrow.
Chalermpol Chotinuchit, deputy permanent secretary of the BMA, said that candidates could file their documents at City Hall 2 in Din Daeng district between 8.30am and 4.30pm from March 31 to April 4. He assured the application venue was readied.
The election date for the Bangkok governor and Bangkok councilors was set on May 22. Apart from the governor, voters will elect 50 Bangkok councilors who will represent 50 districts in the capital.
Bangkok has a population of 5,523,676. Of them, 4,374,131 are eligible voters. There will be 6,862 poll units. (TNA)
