BANGKOK, Feb 24 (TNA) – Myanmar Foreign Minister Wunna Maung Lwin visited Thailand and met Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha and Foreign Minister Don Pramudwinai.
A source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that they met for about an hour at a reception room of Wing 6 in Don Muang district and discussed Myanmar cooperation with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations in response to the coup d’etat in Myanmar which concerned ASEAN members.
It was the first visit abroad by a senior official of Myanmar after the coup by Myanmar military chief Min Aung Hlaing on Feb 1.
Besides, this morning Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi met Mr Don to discuss situations in Myanmar, the source said. (TNA)
