BANGKOK, Nov 6 (TNA) – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) gave Amazing Thailand Safety & Health Administration (SHA) certification to Grab taxi drivers to create confidence among passengers and tourists.
TAT governor, Yuthasak Supasorn and Acting Director- General of the Health Department, Suwanchai Wattanayingcharoenchai handed out cleaning and sanitation items to Grab taxi drivers to prevent spread of Covid-19 such as body temperature scanners, surgical masks, alcohol based hand sanitizers and bins.
Officials from the Health Department also gave them advice how to clean their vehicles and strictly follow health guidelines to prevent Covid-19 transmission.
Initially, 600 Grab Taxi drivers applied for the SHA certification.
They are required to comply with health measures to meet the SHA standard before they obtain SHA certification.
The campaign remains opened for drivers of public transport vehicles to seek the certification to ensure hygiene of their transport service and create confidence among passengers. (TNA)
