CHAIYAPHUM, Dec 25 (TNA) – Prime Minister Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha is visiting Chaiyaphum province today to follow up on an effort to address drought disaster, and observe sugar cane modern farming.
Government Spokesperson Prof. Narumon Pinyosinwat said that the prime minister and delegation visited Nong Hane Village to follow up on the drought situation.
He was briefed on the collective effort of local administration and the communities in rehabilitating and developing canals and small waterways.
He, then travelled to sugar cane plantation in Phu Khiew district to meet with the local people, and observe sugar cane modern farming which uses innovations for sustainable management of sugar cane cultivation.
It has adopted a method to reduce emission of PM2.5 particulates in burning sugar cane fields.
In the afternoon, Gen. Prayut will travel to Ban Phu Din Partnership School, and observe students’ active learning activities such as sugar cane juice extracting and robotics demonstration before returning to Bangkok later in the day. (TNA)
