BANGKOK, Oct1 (TNA) – The third-phase of the UHT milk box recycling campaign collected more than 970 tonnes of UHT milk boxes for reproducing Braille paper products for 13 schools of the visually impaired.
Director-General of the Department of Environmental Quality Promotion, Rutchada Suriyakul Na Ayutya awarded plaques of honour and certificates of honour to all network allies for their contribution to promote garbaging sorting and recycling.
The third-phase campaign from Aug 2018 to July 2019 could put more than 975 tonnes of UHT milk boxes into the recycling process and reproduce 2,000 reams of Braille paper, which were donated to 13 schools for the visually impaired across the country.
The project started in September 2016 and currently has the network in 13 provinces.
Since the beginning, it collected more than 1,700 tonnes or about 177 million UHT milk boxes for recycling. (TNA)
