NONTHABURI, Aug 13 (TNA) – Beidian Co and Carrot Mall of China are ready to market online Thai products from the North, according to the Department of Business Development.
Lalida Jivanantapravat, deputy director-general of the department, said officials of her department recently attended the GMS 2019 GMS-THAILAND e-Commerce Corridor meeting in Chiang Rai province and took the opportunity to work out the online business deal with the Chinese representatives.
In their meeting, the Commerce Ministry’s Biz Club in the North introduced about 100 quality producers in 17 northern provinces to about 30 e-commerce traders operating at www.beidian88.comand representatives of Carrot Mall led by Beidian Co of China. Carrot Mall also had its online platform, Mrs Lalida said.
Their business negotiations led to business deals worth about 100 million baht, she said.
The GMS 2019 GMS-THAILAND e-Commerce Corridor meeting was aimed at encouraging operators in six countries in the Greater Mekong Subregion to do online businesses, Mrs Lalida said. (TNA)
