BANGKOK, July 29 (TNA) — The Mass Rapid Transit Authority (MRTA) gives free rides on its subway service between Wat Mangkon and Tha Phra stations as it is operating the trial run of its extended route that covers five stations between 10am and 4pm from today until Sept 28.
Transport Minister Saksayam Chidchob ceremonially started the test run on the extended route of the Blue Line railway at the Sanam Chai station and boarded a train to Tha Phra. The route covers Wat Mangkon, Sam Yot, Sanam Chai, Itsaraphap and Tha Phra stations.
After the trial run, the MRTA will officially start service on its Hua Lamphong-Bangkae extended route on Sept 29 and early next year it will complete the Blue Line loop route that will improve services for commuters. Then, the Tha Phra station will become an interchange station. (TNA)
