CHIANG MAI, June 6 (TNA) – Thai students create dresses from
recycled materials for a contest marking the World Environment Day in Chiang
Mai city.
The contest was part of Chiang Mai’s World Environment Day
celebration on Wednesday to encourage public awareness on environment
conservation.
Chiang Mai Provincial Administration Organization organized
activities and workshops to educate the public on how to reduce, reuse and
recycle.
Training workshops were offered to show a myriad of ways to
turn discarded items into utensils and tools for everyday use.
In the highlight of the event, design students from many
institutes took part in a recycle fashion contest, showcasing their creativity
and skills with impressive recycled dresses.
Models hit the runway in colorful glittering outfits made of
the likes of garbage bags, CDs and glasses. (TNA)
