BANGKOK, Feb 14 (TNA) – A hundred of couples have queued at Bang Rak district in Bangkok to register their marriage on Valentine’s Day.
Bang Rak is popular among couples for marriage registration as the district name means the district of love.
The first couple arrived at 3 am. at CAT building, where the district has arranged facilities for the mass marriage registration today.
Many couples registered online in advance. The district accepts registration from 7 am. to 4 pm.
A special wedding procession was held in the morning and ten couples received gold marriage certifications in lucky draws.
Other prizes are diamond rings, wedding gowns, air tickets, electrical appliances, and accommodation and restaurant vouchers.
Last year, 5,418 couples registered marriage on Valentine’s Day in Bangkok. Most of them or 619 couples chose Bang Rak as the place to tie the knot. (TNA)
