MAHA SARAKHAM, Jan 8 (TNA) – Tourists and local people
are enjoying taking photographs and feeling cold weather in a blossoming 30-rai
sunflower field at the Bueng Kui park in Hua Khwang sub-district of Kosum
Phisai district of Maha Sarakham province, northeastern Thailand.
Kosum Phisai municipal office and Kosum Phisai district
office have grown sunflowers in the field close to the Bueng Kui lake in Kosum
Phisai district that is the geographical centre of the Northeast.
Local officials also raised a beautiful arch made from used
colored plastic bottles at the field on Maha Sarakham-Kosum Phisai Road.
The place becomes a tourist attraction as there are also a
field of cartoon characters and an amusement park. Parents usually visit the
place with their children to have their pleasant moments especially in the
morning and the evening.
Tourists can also visit Ban Khwao School in Lao sub-district
of Kosum Phisai district. The school is the exact geographical center of the
Northeast. Another attraction is Kosumpee Forest Park, Southeast Asia’s only
habitat of yellow macaques. (TNA)
