BANGKOK, March 14 (TNA) – The police are negotiating with an off-duty police inspector, who fired shots randomly into the sky from his house in Bangkok’s Sai Mai district.
The police still cannot control the situation several hours after the police inspector, 51 fired about 20 shots at the Mankong housing estate 2 in Soi Jiramakorn.
Fifty police officers from many units were deployed to handle the situation. A pick-up truck was parked to block the junction, leading to his house. Police reinforcement has surrounded the area in the radius of one kilometer.
It was reported that before the incident happened, officials from his bureau had trying to bring him out of his home to receive treatment for a stress-related mental health problem. He refused to leave home and started shooting out around 9 a.m. (TNA)
