BANGKOK, June 22 (TNA) — The foreign ministers of the 10-nation member of the Association for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) will jointly propose their leaders in hosting the FIFA World Cup the next 15 years, said Thai Foreign Affairs Minister Don Pramudwinai on Saturday.
Leaders of ASEAN are holding a two-day Summit in the Thai capital of Bangkok, starting Saturday.
Mr Don told journalists after chairing a meeting of ASEAN foreign affairs ministers that the ministers agreed with their football associations to jointly host the World Cup in the name of ASEAN the next 15 years from now.
However, this idea will be submitted to the 34th ASEAN Summit for consideration tomorrow, Mr Don said. (TNA)
