BANGKOK, May 18 (TNA) – His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn will preside over the opening of parliament next Friday.
He will be accompanied by Her Majesty Queen Suthida.
The Secretariat of the Cabinet sent a letter to the Secretariat of the Senate, saying that His Majesty the King accepted the invitation to open the parliament on May 24 at 3.00 p.m. at the conference room of the Foreign Affairs Ministry.
After the official opening, a meeting will be held to select a Senate speaker and deputies.
A House speaker and deputies will be elected on the next day. It is expected the two houses will vote for the new prime minister in the final week of this month. (TNA)
