BANGKOK, May 3 (TNA) – Flags and yellow shirts bearing
the royal emblem of His Majesty the King of Thailand are on high demand ahead
of the first royal coronation in decades.
Saphan Wanchart quarter in Bangkok where flag shops are
located was crowded with people looking for national flags, royal emblem flags,
yellow shirts and other memorabilia for the auspicious occasion.
Owner of a flag store, Wimolnan Nipaspong, said the flags
bearing the royal emblem had been on high demand since last month.
Shops in Banglamphu district known as a popular shopping
district for garment were also busy out of yellow shirt frenzy.
People crowded the shops to buy yellow shirts available in
different prices, styles and designs in preparation for the King’s coronation.
The Thai government has urged the public to wear yellow
shirt bearing the royal emblem of His Majesty the King from April until July as
part of nationwide celebrations. (TNA)
