RAYONG, April 8 (TNA) — PTT Plc organizes a fair to show temperate flowering plants including tulips at the Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Herbal Garden in Rayong province on April 6-21.
PTT chief executive officer Chansin Treenuchagron said the fair was aimed at promoting Rayong as an important element of the Eastern Economic Corridor scheme and was based on the theme of “The Charming of Wonder Village” with fields of tulips and temperate flowering plants as a highlight.
According to Mr Chansin, PTT’s gas separation plant in Rayong plays important roles in boosting economic development and cold energy which is a byproduct from the transformation of liquefied natural gas into natural gas is used to support a greenhouse of temperate plants. Besides, carbon dioxide from gas separation is applied to stimulate the growth of the plants and feed the production of dry ice for rainmaking.
The greenhouse is showing off 120,000 tulips. In the fair there are also the rocky tunnel Rocky Gateway, the Reflection of Light zone featuring a beautiful landscape garden and an upside-down mountain house, and the transparent glass bridge Miracle Bridge.
In addition, there are light-and-sound shows, LED fireworks, concerts, puppets, comedy shows, handicraft workshops and a trade fair of outstanding local products.
The admission fee is set at 40 baht. All proceeds will be donated to support services for elderly and disabled people in Map Ta Phut area. (TNA)
