BANGKOK, March 16 (TNA) – With an aim to ensure power system stability, the Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA) has decided to put overhead power lines and cable underground along Bangkok’s Ratchadapisek – Rama 9 Road.
MEA assistant governor Kanit Luetrakul on Friday presided over a meeting on the issue, attended by representatives of several agencies concerned.
The agency has actually implemented the project since January this year with the programme, starting from Lat Phrao intersection to Rama 9 intersection. The total distance is 14.3 kilometres and the project is worth over two billion baht. The project is scheduled to complete in 2021.
Workers will start work from 10.00 p.m. to 5.00 a.m. daily in order not to create more heavy traffic congestion in the area. (TNA)
