BANGKOK, Feb 20 (TNA) – More than 2.6 million people have registered for advance voting while over 100,000 people applied as overseas voters, reports the Election Commission (EC).
The registration for advance voting ended yesterday after it began on Jan 28. The EC concluded 2,632,935 people, registering for early voting. Out of this total figure,2,318,548 people registered online and the rest submitted their request at local registration offices.
Bangkok recorded the highest number of 928,789 people, signing up for advance voting, followed by 221,541 people in Chonburi and 164,575 people in Samut Prakan.
The EC disclosed that 119,184 people in 67 countries registered for overseas voting. (TNA)
