BANGKOK, Feb 2 (TNA) – A total of 187,303 people have so far registered to cast early votes for the general election, scheduled to be held in Thailand on March 24, according to an announcement issued by Election Commission (EC).
Of the total, who registered their names from January 28 to February 1, about 172,622 eligible voters are those, residing outside their hometowns in the country while the rest of about 14,681 persons live in 67 countries.
Thais, staying in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, China and Australia have applied most for early voting. China has most polling stations in 10 cities when compared to other countries.
Eligible voters are able to register for early voting until February 19. (TNA)
