CHIANG MAI, Nov 6 (TNA) – Livestock officials have vaccinated and sterilized stray dogs at a village in Chiang Mai’s Doi Saket district after a one-year-old girl was attacked by dogs at her house on Saturday.
Stray dogs were shot with tranquilizer darts and caught by officials. It will take about one week to finish vaccination and sterilization of over 30 stray dogs in this area, officials said.
Meanwhile, blood samples of three dogs, which bit and scratched the one-year-old girl were collected for lab tests on rabies. The test results will be known in one week.
The father of the girl said that she has recovered well and was allowed to leave hospital but he wanted her to stay while waiting for the lab tests of the dogs that had attacked her.
The girl suffered severe wounds from the dog attack. She was vaccinated against rabies and other infections. (TNA)
