BANGKOK, May 15 (TNA) — The Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) has developed the “Thai Chana” application software for operators to report the traffic of their customers when business reopening is expanded.
The operators who are allowed to resume their business can register for their use of the application. The registration will be done at a website and participating operators will receive QR codes from the application. The codes will be attached at their front and customers will use their mobile phones to scan the codes to check in before entering the registered shops and scan the codes again to check out when they leave the shops.
The application can check the numbers of customers and their reservation for visits at participating shops to prevent crowd gathering.
The Department of Disease Control will monitor information gathered through the application and will send messages to advise customers who may have come in close contact with COVID-infected people to have tests for the disease. The department will ensure privacy regarding the collected personal information.
The Thai Chana application will also allow customers to report if operators follow disease control measures at their shops.
For the future reopening of businesses, a relevant committee of CCSA will propose shorter curfew hours from 10pm-4am to 11pm-4am as requested by operators. It will also propose the reopening of department stores, shopping centers and community malls except movie theaters.
It also plans to allow barbers and hairdressers to provide more services in addition to hair cutting, washing and drying on the condition that each shift of the services will be limited at 2 hours.
It will also seek approval for outdoor sports competitions without spectators, foot massage and video production by crews of not more than 10 people each.
CCSA will consider the proposals on May 15 and announce its decision on May 17. (TNA)
