BANGKOK, March 28 (TNA) – The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration ordered the closure of some places and reopened three kinds of facilities. Its venue closure order was extended to April 30 to comply with the government’s emergency order.
BMA spokesman Pongsakorn Kwanmuang said that from March 28 the BMA closed all competition venues of human and animal contestants including those for pigeon and dove contests, children’s playgrounds including those in housing estates, outdoor theaters, museums and libraries.
The BMA also closed meeting rooms, banquet rooms at hotels, banquet venues, snooker clubs, public and private daycare centers except those at hospitals (from March 31 on), and beauty clinics.
Pol Capt Pongsakorn said the BMA reopened canteens at hospitals where seats must be placed in a social-distancing manner, flower stalls at markets, and the outlets of governmental organizations and state enterprises in department stores including post offices and immigration branches. (TNA)
