BANGKOK, Nov 11 (TNA) — The Board of Trade of Thailand and the Digital Council of Thailand join forces to develop Thailand into a digital innovation hub of Southeast Asia.
Board of Trade of Thailand chairman Kalin Sarasin brought his delegation to meet representatives of the Digital Council of Thailand led by its chairman Suphachai Chearavanont. Both sides discussed a plan to turn Thailand into a regional digital innovation hub.
The plan will enhance national competitiveness through the development of its digital products and services that meet demand in the private sector. It will also call for the production of graduates who will become human resources in digital economy. The Board of Trade of Thailand, the Digital Council of Thailand and companies under their supervision will participate in the standards of the human resources development.
Besides, a Carrier-neutral Data Center will be established to gather information at a regional level and reduce network infrastructure costs. This will cut the cloud computing costs of small companies and support self-learning e-platforms.
The plan will also lead to digital standards and qualifications and support digital hardware manufacturers in developing their products. (TNA)
