NONTHABURI, Nov 1 (TNA) – Members of the press covering
the 35th ASEAN Summit flock a media center which is opened on Friday at IMPACT
Muang Thong Thani in Nonthaburi.
The Media Center is set to accommodate members of the news
media from around the world who must sign in at the registration point before
covering the Summit and related events.
In hosting the Summit, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has
invited media representatives to register online from September 5 to October
6. Those residing outside Thailand must
submit required documents at Thai embassies or consulates for visa application.
Members of the Thai and foreign media are required to wear
the press badges for security personnel to scan before they are permitted to
enter the venue.
Meanwhile, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohamed Al Khalifa, Minister of
Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, has arrived in
Bangkok. He is scheduled to sign the
instrument of accession to the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast
Asia (TAC) during the Summit. (TNA)
