PHITSANULOK, Sept 2 (TNA) – The Interior Ministry has planned to set aside the budget of 200 million baht for each flood-stricken province as one of the post-flood rehabilitation measures.
Social Development and Human Security Minister, Juti Krairikshand, Deputy Interior Minister, Niphon Boonyamanee and Phitsanulok Governor, Pipat Ekpaphan took a field to flood-stricken Wang Thong district in Phitsanulok province.
They handed over 600 relief supplies to flood victim and a royally- sponsored kitchen has cooked food for them.
Juti said Prime Minister Gen.Prayut Chan-ocha is concerned over the plight of people in flood-affected areas and assigned him to provide them speedy relief and rehabilitation.
In the post-flood rehabilitation, the Interior Ministry will survey the damage to give compensation to flood victims. The initial budget of 200 million baht is planned for each province.
Four districts in Phitsanulok have been damaged by flood and one death was reported. Farmland and hospitals have been inundated and schools have been forced to close. (TNA)
