SARABURI, March 7 (TNA) – Over 1.2 million
methamphetamine pills have been seized from major drug network in Saraburi
province, central Thailand.
The big haul of meth pills was discovered at a house in Saraburi’s
Ban Mo district used by a drug syndicated known as “Fad Narok” to store the
drugs for distribution to central Thailand, police said.
Ban Mo police also arrested Niphat Waraphut, a member of the
drug network whom has been implicated by a drug user.
In the search at Niphat’s house, police found 1.24 million
meth tablets in a bedroom.
He has confessed of storing 2.2 million tablets and about
800,000 had already been distributed, Ban Mo police superintendent Pol Col
Chalee Dejsiri said.
Previously, Niphat had received four lots of methamphetamine
totaling 5.8 million tablets.
Assets and property of the network have also been frozen as
police vow to implicate other members. (TNA)
