BANGKOK, Oct 24 (TNA) – Cat lover groups call for seeking evidence to prosecute a female club DJ, accused of brutally killing an adopted kitten for bitcoins.
Representatives of Cat Lover Groups, led by an actress Chonlada Mek-ratree, Isaraporn Samutkalin, the former owner of the dead kitten, and an administrator of a cat lover Facebook page as well as those from the Hope Thailand and Watchdog Thailand went to the Phetchakasem police station on Tuesday to support the police’s investigation into the alleged killing of the kitten.
Wararat Krasae or DJ Sun was accused by animal rights groups of killing and removing organs of the kitten. The killing was allegedly featured in a video streamed on a secret website.
Meanwhile, another cat owner also filed a complaint to the police that she gave two cats to the DJ and only one was returned to her later.
Cat lover groups called for other cat owners, who also gave cats to the DJ to give more information such as chat messages and photos of cats to the police or the cat lover page in seven days, so the police have evidence to proceed in the case. They believed there may be as many as 27 cats, abused by the DJ.
Director-General of the Livestock Development Department Sorawit Thaneeto called for the NGOs to hand over the kitten’s body to specialists of the state agency for a forensic examination before the body cannot be used for a repeated autopsy. Otherwise, it will be more difficult to determine the cause of the kitten’s death. (TNA)
