Bangkok, Oct 12 (TNA) – Staff of MCOT Plc and three other organizations wore yellow clothing and gave alms to 89 Buddhist monks on the occasion of the 2nd anniversary of King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s passing on Oct 13, 2016.
Also present at the merit-making ceremony were representatives from GH Bank, Dhipaya Insurance Co and TOT Plc. They wore yellow, the birthday color of the late king, and Thai-styled clothing.
The activity was aimed to remember the late king and his great contributions to the nation including more than 4,000 development projects that the king had initiated during his long reign.
PTT Plc also organized a similar activity, giving alms to 39 Buddhist monks to mark the 2nd anniversary of King Rama IX’s passing. (TNA)
