MAHA SARAKHRAM, Feb 3 (TNA) – The number of Covid-19 cases from the cluster in Maha Sarakhram province is still rising and the latest case is a doctor who treated three patients, later found to be infected with Covid-19.
Provincial public health officials announced patients, visiting the doctor at the clinic on Sri Ratchawong Road in Maha Sarakhram’s Muang district from Jna 25 to Feb 1 to report themselves to the authorities for the Covid-19 testing.
The Covid-19 transmission in the province was believed to have occurred at a banquet, attended by local businessmen on Jan 10.
Out of all patients, contracting Covid-19 from the cluster, 18 were in Mara Sarakham, three lived in Ratchaburi and one in Khon Kaen.
In the daily case tally, the Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) on Wednesday reported 795 coronavirus cases, bringing the total cases to 21,249.
The new cases comprised 759 cases detected by active case testing in communities, 24 cases found in surveillance and service systems and 12 quarantined arrivals.
The total fatalities stood at 79. (TNA)
