BANGKOK, Sept 12 (TNA) – About 100,000 people would gather in the next anti-government rally on Sept 19 and it would be peaceful if authorities seriously impose security measures, said Rangsiman Rome, list MP of the Move Forward Party.
He said that Move Forward Party MPs would be observing the demonstration because they were concerned about safety although demonstrators had proved to refrain from any violent movement. He urged the police to do their best to ensure demonstrators’ safety.
As a member of the House committee on legal affairs, Rangsiman said he placed importance on human rights issues and demonstrators should not be charged with sedition. Demonstrators were complying with the constitution and the House committee would protect their rights, he said. (TNA)
