PATTANI, July 31 (TNA) – Muslims gathered and prayed this morning on the occasion of Eid al-Adha or the Feast of the Sacrifice amid the strict implementation of COVID-19 control measures at some mosques.
In the southern border province of Pattani, Muslims showed up at about 700 local mosques to celebrate the special occasion. Health officials checked the body temperatures of all visitors and handed out face masks to those who did not have one.
The Muslims also prayed for a quick end to the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic.
In the southern province of Satun, about 500 Muslims showed up at their central Mambang mosque.
The management of the place provided visitors with alcohol gel. However, body temperatures were not measured and social distancing was not observed as local COVID situations have improved. (TNA)
