GUANGXI, Aug 26 (TNA) – The Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China is hosting a media delegation from six ASEAN countries to showcase its high-quality development strategies, with a focus on tourism and artificial intelligence (AI).
The Information Office of the People’s Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, in collaboration with China News Service (CNS), has launched a program titled “Guangxi in the Eyes of International Media: Sharing New Opportunities, Advancing Together into the Future.”
From August 24 to 30, mainstream journalists from 27 news agencies and influencers from Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Singapore are on a week-long tour to observe Guangxi’s development firsthand.
The delegation will visit three key areas—Chongzuo, Nanning, and Liuzhou—to witness various initiatives, including eco-tourism projects and the development of the AI-driven manufacturing industry. The program also includes discussions on the application of AI in the media industry.
During the opening ceremony, Mr. Li Pan, Director of the Information Office of the People’s Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, highlighted Guangxi’s potential and natural beauty. He stated that the media representatives would witness the development and opportunities for cooperation between China and ASEAN member states, which aim to achieve a shared future.
Guangxi is the only Chinese province with both land and sea borders to ASEAN countries, making it a crucial gateway for cross-border cooperation. Leveraging its geographic advantages, rich resources, and development potential, Guangxi is actively building an AI industrial ecosystem to benefit its collaboration with ASEAN nations. -819 (TNA)
