RATCHABURI, Aug 22 (TNA) – Police sought the extended detention of a policewoman who allegedly assaulted her helper who is a former soldier.
The police corporal together with her lawyer on Monday arrived at the Muang Ratchaburi police station for additional interrogation. It was expected that police would oppose her temporary release because the victim and her family said they had been threatened and feared for their safety.
The chief of the Muang Ratchaburi station said that the court would decide if the suspect’s detention should be extended and her lawyer prepared to seek bail.
Pol Cpl Kornsasi Buayaem already acknowledged her charge of human trafficking and physical assault. The victim filed her complaint with the Muang Ratchaburi police station. She accused Pol Cpl Kornsasi of forcing her to work as a servant and assaulting her.
