BANGKOK, June 12 (TNA) – Thailand’s zoos are ready to reopen on Monday with new rules to limit the visitor numbers while national parks will follow suit on July 1.
After the announcement by the authorities to begin the fourth phase of business lockdowns on Monday, zoos will be allowed to resume service with the limit of visitor number at a maximum of 2,000 persons per day.
Visitors are required to register online in advance at https://www.eventpop.me/e/9040/zoothailand.
Free entry will be given from June 15 until June 30 and 50-per cent discount will be offered from July 1 onwards. Social distancing will be maintained at the zoo premises with standing line marks on the floor. Some air-conditioned and small enclosed areas will be closed.
Visitors will undergo body temperature checks at the entrance. Alcohol-based hand santizers will be provided around the zoos.
Meanwhile, out of all 155 national parks across the country, 127 national parks will reopen on July1.
About half of the resumed national parks or 64 will fully reopen while the rest will partly open. 28 others will remain closed. Visitors must make an advance reservation. (TNA)
