CHIANG MAI, July 27 (TNA) – Longans in northern Thailand, especially in Chiang Mai, have entered the market and fetch good prices this year.
Growers said the fruit has just entered markets and prices are handsome than several past years.
For example, longan of grade AA is sold at 32 baht per kilogramme, grade A at 21 baht per kilo, grade B at 11 baht and grade C at one baht.
A grower who owns more than 400 longan trees said although longan this year produced smaller sizes due to current drought, prices of grade AA are much higher than previous years. (TNA)
