BANGKOK, April 3 (TNA) – The Royal Golden Plaques, inscribed with the Royal Official Title, the Royal Horoscope and the Royal Seal of State were transferred from the Temple of Emerald Buddha to Baisal Daksin Throne Hall on the eve of the coronation ceremonies of His Majesty the King on Friday.
One hundred and thirteen representatives of five government agencies took part in the procession to move the Royal Golden Plaques to the official place, designated for the coronation ceremonies at Baisal Daksin Throne Hall.
The royal items were placed on a pedestal inside the throne hall in preparation for Saturday’s event, in which they will be presented to the King by the chief Brahmin along with the Royal Regalia, the symbol of the kingship after the Purification (Ablution) Ceremony or Song Phra Muratha Bhisek.
At 4 pm. on Friday, His Majesty the King will pay respects to the Emerald Buddha and will proceed to pay homage to Royal Relics at Phra Dhat Monthira Reliquary Hall in the Grand Palace.
He will later light an auspicious candle at Amarindra Vinijaya Throne Hall. A high –ranking monk will declare the commencement of the royal coronation ceremony while 80 monks will chant prayers at three throne halls. (TNA)
