BANGKOK, May 2 (TNA) – His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn will pay homage to his ancestors at monuments and the Bangkok city guardian spirits this afternoon ahead of his official coronation ceremonies, scheduled from May 4-6.
Security officials, officials from the Royal Household Bureau and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) checked for readiness at the venues as the King will pay respects to the Equestrian Statue of King Rama V at 3.20 pm. at the Royal Plaza.
The ceremony will be attended by about 300 senior civil servants.
He will proceed to the Memorial Bridge to pay homage to the monument of King Rama I, the founder of the Chakri Dynasty before going to the City Pillar Shrine.
Roads, surrounding the ceremonial venues have been closed from 2 pm. until the ceremony ends. (TNA)
