BANGKOK,
Feb 26 (TNA) – The Thai government has published a book on the Royal Coronation
of King Maha Vajiralongkorn, containing essential information of the historic
royal ceremony.
Since
His Majesty the King issued a command to hold the three-day coronation ceremony
in early May, the Thai government has prepared for the ceremony with an
organising committee headed by Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Krea-ngam.
Wissanu
said that the new book was made available for the historic event that reflect
cultural heritage of the Kingdom. The
Thai public could learn about history and details of the coronation ceremony.
The
book by the Culture Ministry features the history of the ceremony with details
on the preparation of main elements such as sacred water for ablution and
anointment.
It
also focuses on intricate royal ceremonies such as the inscription of the royal
golden plaque and the engraving of the royal seal of state which will take
place on May 4.
Wissanu
said thousands of the Royal Coronation books would be provided for libraries,
educational institutes and government agencies.
The
book was made available in E-book format for people to download from the
Culture Ministry website, said Wissanu. (TNA)
