TRANG, Dec 28 (TNA) – A teacher in Thailand’s southern Trang
province has turned his motorcycle with a sidecar into a mobile library to
serve readers in his community.
Suphol Chu-in, the 49-year-old teacher, stationed his mini
mobile library at a flea market in Kantang district Friday morning.
His “People’s library of Kantang” has over 200 books for
anyone to choose from. The librarian
also provides them with foldable chairs to enjoy reading.
Suphol said he modified the motorcycle donated for education
purposes a year ago into this free service.
To encourage reading, he has endeavored to bring the library
to doorsteps of bookworms near and far.
Comic, short stories, novels or profession guidebooks are
among the mainstays of his unique library.
People often showed appreciation by giving gifts and snacks, he said.
