BANGKOK, Nov 3 (TNA) – Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha is satisfied with Thailand’s raking among the top 30 in the global doing business report by the World Bank, according to a spokesman of the Prime Minister’s Office.
Thailand’s ranking in the Ease of Doing Business report 2019 has dropped to the 27th place from 26th place last year. However, the country scored 78.45, up from 77.39 last year.
Although Thailand’s ranking has dropped by one notch to 27th place, the country is still ranked within 30 countries out of 190 economies in the world.
The prime minister has reiterated that the Thai government attaches importance in amending regulations in the past few years with an aim to meet global required standards, said the spokesman.
In addition, the prime minister admires the World Bank, which has released reports showing progress of Thailand, he said.
The Thai government is determined to improve business atmosphere in the country for the benefit of private entrepreneurs, the spokesman added. (TNA)
