LOP BURI, Aug 15 (TNA) – A freight train derailed in
Thailand’s central province of Lop Buri on Thursday morning, causing reroutes
of Bangkok-Nong Khai train service.
The train accident that occurred between Khok Khli and
Phaendin Thong stations on Thursday morning has damaged a one-kilometer stretch
of railway tracks. Eight goods wagons of
the freight train have blocked the rail.
The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) quickly decided to
detour its service on the Bangkok-Nong Khai line.
There is no report of injuries in the accident which
happened when the train was travelling from Nong Khai to Laem Chabang.
SRT workers have been sent to remove the cargo containers
and train cars as well as repair the railway tracks. (TNA)
