BANGKOK, July 3 (TNA) — Airports of Thailand Plc (AOT) will sign three contracts for airport duty-free shops and commercial space with King Power Group on July 5 or Friday.
AOT vice president Wichai Boonyu said King Power through its subsidiary King Power Duty Free won bidding contests to operate commercial areas and duty-free shops at Suvarnabhumi airport and duty-free shops at Chiang Mai, Hat Yai and Phuket airports and it would receive bank guarantees on Thursday.
The contracts were completely prepared and ready for signing and AOT would hand areas under the contracts to King Power within Sept 28 next year, he said.
He also said that AOT would organize a bidding contest within this year to find a contractor to operate duty-free shops at Don Mueang airport but would listen to a policy on the matter from a new transport minister. (TNA)
